Neurodiversity is a celebration of how uniquely each of us experiences the world.

Everyone’s perspective is valuable, and at the NCC, we embrace and support that diversity. Come join our tribe, be your true self, and connect with others who understand and appreciate the richness of our varied experiences.

Discover a community where everyone belongs.

We are a 501c3 in partnership with Broomfield Community Foundation as our agent.

Our Mission

To create a community that offers people - no matter how they experience the world - a chance to find safety, connection, belonging, and empowerment.

Our Founder’s Story:

Rene Boos

Our Story

I came to the language of neurodiversity later in life — but living as an autistic, ADHD, PDA-profile woman has shaped my entire experience.

For many years, I built businesses, led teams, and operated “successfully” in the world. From the outside, life looked stable and accomplished. Internally, I was masking, overriding my nervous system, and living inside expectations that did not truly fit.

Eventually, my body and spirit asked me to stop.

What followed was a dismantling — of identity, of career, of old definitions of success. It was not graceful, but it was honest. And in that honesty, I began to rediscover something essential: my sensitivity was not weakness. My nervous system was not broken. My way of perceiving the world was not wrong.

It was information.

As I learned to honor capacity, regulate slowly, and build environments that actually supported how I function, everything began to shift.

The Neurodiversity Community Center was born from that realization.

The NCC exists to create community — relational — where neurodivergent individuals can experience safety, connection, and authentic belonging without pressure to perform or conform.

Our Afterschool and Young Adult programs are built around nervous system awareness, autonomy, and meaningful peer connection. As the Center evolves, we are expanding into offerings that support regulation, healing, and sustainable self-understanding — not as “treatment,” but as empowerment.

This work is personal.

It is rooted in lived experience, deep listening, and the belief that when environments change, people flourish.

NCC is not about “fixing” anything...

It is about creating conditions where everyone can thrive.

And that work continues — with clarity, courage, and you…the community.

With gratitude,
Renee
